Students Participate in “Hour of Code” Program

Thanks to volunteers from John Deere, students at Howe Elementary School participated in the worldwide “Hour of Code” program. The program started with a one-hour introduction to computer science before engaging students in coding activities. For example, 2nd graders in Joyce Adamson’s classroom spent the hour on their laptops by compiling codes to play Minecraft. We stopped by to share some photos of these junior programmers. Bus Safety

Students at Howe participated in practice bus evacuations on Tuesday. Bus drivers reviewed safety expectations and the best routes to evacuate the bus. Students then practiced safely exiting the bus.
