This past Saturday, around 50 students from Howe Elementary and other area schools received bikes from a local charity. Variety, the children’s charity supplied students with size appropriate bikes, helmets, and bike locks! It was a great time …
Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Des Moines Public Schools are partnering to offer a youth basketball league for the 2014-2015 season. The program is for students in grades 1st through 7th. The registration deadline is October 17 and fees are $50 per student or $450 per team. Click the image to learn more and register to play.

Howe Elementary School students celebrated their last day of school with water relays. Students who did well on the Iowa Assessments were able to dump a bucket of water on the principal or their favorite teacher. What a great way to end the year! Howe students recently sold over $5,000 in cookie dough! Students who sold 5 tubs or more received a piece of duct tape to secure Ms. Burke to the wall! Thanks for all the hard work!
