Online Registration

Online Registration  is officially open and must be completed prior to your student beginning school. Failure to do so can result in your student missing out on the first days of school so we encourage you to complete this registration process as soon as possible.

Here are a few quick tips and need to knows that will help you with this process: 

  1. To register your student, you must have a username and password for the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you have forgotten your username or password, please give the main office a call at 515-242-8413 or send over an email to ambreyana.jones@dmschools.org. to receive your username and password.
  2. Please ensure that all of your students are on your application before completing the application. For example, if you have an incoming kindergartner, they must be enrolled first in order to show on your application. If you do not see them on the application and complete the application, you will have to resubmit your application.
    1. if you have an incoming kindergarten student that you have not enrolled, you will have to go to the Welcome Center first to complete his/her enrollment prior to completing your Online Registration. This will help you avoid having to complete two applications and/or start your application all over.
      1. The Welcome Center is located at 1000 Porter Ave | Des Moines, IA 50315 and they will be open from 8:00am-4:30pm.
  3. When you open Infinite Campus, you will need to select the menu button (the three lines in the upper left corner), select “More” and then select “Online Registration”.
    1. From there, you will be able to review all students included or not included in the application. Again, if any of your students are missing, do NOT start the application. Please let myself or the Office Manager at the other school where your missing student attends know immediately.

  4. Lastly, if you have moved…
    1. Out of district or out of state and your student will not be returning: Please contact the school immediately so that we can drop the enrollment for your student and disable messages to your family.
    2. Out of district (within DMPS) and you would like your student still attend Howe and not his/her new address assigned school: Please complete the Within District Transfer form located here.
      1. Please remember that even if you have completed a Within District Transfer form, you will still need to complete Online Registration.
    3. Out of district (outside of DMPS) and you would like your student to still attend Howe: Please complete the Open Enrollment form located here.
